Attendance Zoning Town Hall Meeting Announced

A Town Hall meeting is scheduled to discuss potential Attendance Zoning changes for new High School III currently under construction and planned to open for the 2022-2023 School Year.  High School III is located within the Twin Creeks development at 1070 Beachwalk Blvd.  Other possible attendance zone changes relate to West End at Town Center and River Landing, both in the Nocatee development. The Town Hall meeting will take place as follows: Tuesday, March 23 at 6 p.m. in a Virtual format on WebEx.  Instructions to join the virtual town hall meeting will be posted on the district's website at www.stjohns.k12.fl.us.  The public may also attend the Town Hall meeting in person at the St. Johns County School District Auditorium with COVID protocols.  The Auditorium is located at 40 Orange Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084 A proposed zoning plan will be released at the Town Hall meeting, along with an opportunity for the public to provide comment.  School Board members and district staff will be in attendance. At this time, the proposal for High School III impacts the current attendance zones and student at Allen D. Nease High School and Bartram Trail High School, Fruit Cove Middle School, Alice B. Landrum Middle School, Liberty Pines Academy, Pacetti Bay Middle School, and Switzerland Point Middle School.    The proposal for West End at Town Center impacts the current attendance zones of Palm Valley Academy and Pine Island Academy.  The proposal for River Landing impacts the current attendance zones of Allen D. Nease High School and Ponte Vedra High School.

K-8 School MM Attendance Zoning Town Hall Meeting Announced

A Virtual Town Hall meeting is scheduled to discuss potential Attendance Zoning changes for new K-8 School MM currently under construction and planned to open for the 2021-2022 school year.  K-8 School MM is located at 805 Pine Island Road within the Nocatee development.  The K-8 School construction is being funded with Half-Cent Sales Tax, Impact Fees and Certificates of Participation (COPs). The Virtual Town Hall meeting will take place Tuesday, September 22nd at 6:00 p.m.  Instructions to join the meeting will be posted on the District's website at www.stjohns.k12.fl.us The proposed zoning plans are still being finalized and will be emailed and posted on the district's attendance zoning website by Friday, September 25th.  At this time, the proposal impacts current students at Palm Valley Academy. The Virtual Town Hall Meeting will include a discussion of the proposals, along with the opportunity for the public to provide comment.  School Board Members and district staff will be in attendance.

The Attendance Zoning process for High School HHH will restart on Tuesday, August 4th at 6:00 p.m. with a Virtual Town Hall Meeting.  Instructions to join the virtual town hall meeting will be posted on the District's website.  The attendance zoning process for High School HHH was paused in March due to Covid-19. No changes have been made to the latest Attendance Zoning proposal as discussed on March 3rd.  It is posted on the District's website:  https://www.stjohns.k12.fl.us/zoning/ The Town Hall Meeting will include a discussion of the proposal, along with an opportunity for the public to provide comment.  School Board Members and district staff will be in attendance.

Attendance Zone Changes for the SilverLeaf DRI (Meadow Ridge) for the 2020-2021 SY will resume in June and July.  This proposal will be discussed at the June 2nd School Board Workshop, June 9th School Board Meeting and the July 14th School Board Meeting.  This will allow the School Board to consider the proposed changes prior to the start of the 2020-2021 SY. The creation of an Attendance Zone for High School HHH and other related changes to high school attendance zones for the 2021-2022 SY will not resume until August 2020. Due to COVID-19, the attendance zoning process for High School HHH and Meadow Ridge in SilverLeaf was paused temporarily.


2020-2021 SY and 2021-2022 SY A revised Attendance Zoning Proposal was presented at the March 3, 2020 School Board Workshop and is now posted below:

Revised Attendance Zoning Proposal – March 3, 2020

The revised proposal would leave River Oaks Plantation (Geocode 050103), Cunningham Creek Estates and Fruit Cove Woods (Geocode 038106) at Bartram Trail High School.  This revised proposal creates no changes to the Creekside High School Attendance Zone. Another component of the revised proposal would split the Orangedale area (Geocode 034109) into two separate areas with Trout Creek as the dividing line.  Areas West of Trout Creek are proposed to remain at Bartram Trail High School.  Areas East of Trout Creek and along SR 16 are proposed to attend High School HHH.

Attendance Zoning Town Hall Meetings Announced Two Town Hall meetings will be held to discuss potential attendance zoning changes for new High School HHH soon to begin construction and planned to open for the 2021-2022 school year. High School HHH is located at 11200 St. Johns Parkway (at the intersection of St. Johns Parkway and International Golf Parkway). Other possible attendance zone changes relate to the SilverLeaf Development. The two meetings will take place as follows:

  • Tuesday, February 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Allen D. Nease High School, located at 10550 Ray Road, Ponte Vedra, FL 32081
  • Thursday, February 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Bartram Trail High School, located at 7399 Longleaf Pine Parkway, St. Johns, FL 32259

A proposed zoning plan is being finalized and will be shared at the Town Hall meetings, along with an opportunity for the public to provide comment. The same information will be presented at both meetings. School Board members and district staff will be in attendance. At this time, the proposal impacts the current attendance zones and students at Allen D. Nease High School, Bartram Trail High School, Creekside High School, Liberty Pines Academy, Mill Creek Academy, Pacetti Bay Middle School, and Switzerland Point Middle School. The meeting will also discuss plans for future High School III. High School III is in the planning stages and expected to be constructed within 3-4 years. The future discussions of High School III could impact areas currently zoned for Allen D. Nease High School and Bartram Trail High School.
